Strengthening fair trade and compliance response capabilities

Daeryun Law Firm announced on August 24 that it is strengthening its fair trade and compliance response capabilities by recruiting, as an advisor, Bae Jin-cheol, former president of the Korea Fair Trade Mediation Agency, who served for a long time at the Fair Trade Commission.

Advisor Bae Jin-cheol, who recently joined Daeryun, is a fair trade expert encompassing competition law enforcement and international competition cooperation, having held key posts at the Fair Trade Commission such as Director General of the Business Transaction Policy Bureau, Director for Adjudication Coordination, and Competition Cooperation Attaché at the Korean Embassy in the United States.

After retiring from public office, he worked as an advisor at Yulchon and Klas Hankyul before joining Daeryun this time.

Kim Guk-il, Daeryun's representative attorney, said, "As the Fair Trade Commission's sanctions and the regulatory environment for corporate transactions grow stricter by the day, expert compliance diagnosis is essential," adding, "With the addition of advisor Bae Jin-cheol, who combines rich administrative experience with outstanding economic and legal insight, we expect Daeryun's fair trade and corporate advisory competitiveness to be further strengthened."

Advisor Bae Jin-cheol stated his aspirations, saying, "For fair-trade-related issues, preventive measures are far more important than after-the-fact responses," and "At Daeryun, I will proactively and closely inspect companies' legal risks and present practical solutions so that companies can build a stable management environment."
