I was recently caught for drunk driving during a crackdown. At the time, my reading was 0.094%, and I immediately received a disposition revoking my license. I have committed drunk driving within the past 10 years. I acknowledge that it is my fault, but I currently work in the transportation business, and if the license revocation disposition becomes final, my livelihood will be threatened. Even if it is the law, the State should not shake a person's life and death through a license revocation. I would like to ask whether filing an objection to the license revocation could reduce the disposition. I am looking for someone to help me with the objection to the drunk driving license revocation.

As in your situation, when a person is caught with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.094%, the driver's license is subject to immediate revocation.
In addition, it may be difficult to avoid imprisonment for not less than one year and not more than two years, or a fine of not less than 5 million won and not more than 10 million won.
In addition, if a person has been caught for drunk driving twice within 10 years, aggravated criminal punishment may be imposed as a repeat offense.
If a disposition revoking the license for drunk driving is issued, the possibility of actually saving the license may be regarded as low.
Administrative dispositions are often applied mechanically, so it may be difficult to obtain a reduction based solely on hardship in making a living.
However, as in your case, the situation is directly connected to your livelihood through the transportation business, so you should take initial measures together with an attorney experienced in drunk driving cases.
First, if you specifically explain, through the procedure for objecting to the license revocation, that you are a driver who depends on driving for your livelihood, that the intent was low, that you have a family and bear responsibility for economic activity, and that your driving distance was limited, the objection to the drunk driving license revocation may be accepted.
In addition, you must clearly convey a sincerely reflective attitude and efforts to prevent reoffending.
An objection to a license revocation must be filed within 60 days from the date of the disposition, so please promptly seek legal consultation regarding the reduction of the administrative disposition with an attorney experienced in drunk driving and traffic accident cases.
