Lately, a lot of news related to prostitution has been on TV, so I have become curious about something. Is prostitution not just going to an establishment and paying money for it? From watching the news, there seem to be many other things besides this. Could you tell me exactly what a prostitution crime is and what types there are?

A prostitution crime refers to the act of engaging in sexual intercourse, or a similar sexual act using part of the body such as the mouth or anus or a tool, or being the counterpart to such an act, with an unspecified person while giving, receiving, or promising money, valuables, or other economic benefits.
The main types of prostitution crimes are as follows.
▷ Cases where a person is made to engage in prostitution by using a relationship of protection or supervision through assault, intimidation, or deception
▷ Cases where prostitution or an abortion is coerced through unlawful confinement, deception, or force
▷ Cases where a person under protection or supervision, such as in an employment relationship, is made to engage in prostitution by using narcotics or the like
▷ Producing or supplying advertising materials related to arranging prostitution, or posting such advertisements
▷ Cases where prostitution is arranged in return for consideration
▷ Cases where the identity of a reporter or the like is disclosed on the internet, broadcasting media, or elsewhere
▷ Cases where advertising is made for the purpose of job placement or arrangement to have someone engage in prostitution
▷ The act of prostitution itself
▷ Simple acts of arranging prostitution
We recommend that you check the specific types of prostitution crimes and how to respond through a consultation with an attorney specializing in sex crimes.
