Attorney Young-Jae Chae, a member of the Medical·Bio·Healthcare Group, holds a pharmacist license and is a medical specialist attorney registered with the Korean Bar Association. Based on his practical experience at the Regulatory Reform Legal Affairs Office of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, he has provided professional legal services across the medical and pharmaceutical fields. In particular, he has broadly experienced medical regulation, licensing, and dispute resolution while also serving as an Advisory Attorney for the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, a Patient Advocate at the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency, and an expert committee member at the Korea Institute of Drug Safety and Risk Management. In addition, he has handled numerous cases for medical institutions and medical professionals, such as medical institution litigation, responses to drug cost recovery and on-site investigations, license suspension and reissuance, medical law violation criminal cases, and cancellation of hospital licensing and administrative dispositions. He also provides expert advice on complex issues such as covered/non-covered benefits, licensing, clinical trials, R&D, and insurance/liability for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Attorney Chae always strives to present practical solutions through a hands-on, field-oriented approach that well understands the field.
