Hello. It is just as the title says. Because I had money that I borrowed some time ago, I went to find the creditor, but I was told that he moved a few months ago. Even when I call, he does not answer, and there is not much time left until the repayment date, so what should I do in such a case? I would be grateful if a claims attorney could reply.

Hello. This is a claims attorney of Daeryun (Limited) Law Firm.
In a situation where the creditor cannot be found or cannot be reached, it is safe to first consider a deposit for repayment.
A deposit for repayment is a method by which the debt can be legally discharged even when repayment is difficult because the creditor refuses to accept it or the address is unknown.
If the repayment amount is deposited with the court through a deposit for repayment, liability for default can be avoided, and even if the creditor appears later, the rights can be exercised safely.
If it is difficult to confirm the whereabouts of the creditor and the situation is burdensome to resolve alone, please request help from a claims attorney.
A claims attorney can identify the creditor's address and contact details and can act on your behalf up to the safe receipt of repayment, including the legal procedures, so problems can be minimized even when the repayment date is imminent.
A deposit for repayment proceeds through the procedure of submitting a deposit statement and paying in the deposited item at a district court, a branch of a district court, or a city or county court, and the debt can be legally discharged by the deposit alone.
Therefore, when it is difficult to find the creditor, please give priority to a deposit for repayment and, if necessary, request the assistance of a claims attorney.
