I am experiencing workplace harassment, and I have heard that collecting evidence is really important if I want to raise the issue later. But I am not sure how I should gather it so that it will be recognized later. Besides recordings or text messages, are there other helpful ways to collect evidence? I am also curious about what I should know in order to prepare properly without making mistakes.

Workplace harassment is not a simple conflict but a clear infringement of rights, and thorough evidence collection is key to receiving legal protection.
This is because you must be able to objectively prove the harassment in order to file not only a company report but also a criminal complaint or a claim for damages.
First, it is most important to keep all text messages, KakaoTalk, and emails exchanged with the offender without exception.
If there is verbal abuse, unfair instructions, or assault, it is advisable, where possible, to record the circumstances using your mobile phone through audio or video.
It is also advisable to record in detail, according to the five Ws and one H, the date, time, place, situation, witnesses, and your feelings at the time of each incident.
Statements from nearby colleagues can also serve as important reference material. If you received hospital treatment for psychological harm, a medical certificate or counseling records may also be used as evidence.
However, it is advisable to review with a professional which materials constitute legally meaningful evidence, and when and in what manner they should be submitted to be effective.
To prepare strategically from the initial response, please note that receiving the assistance of an attorney with relevant experience can help you carry the subsequent procedures forward to your advantage.
