Q
How should I respond to a civil claim for damages?
Two years ago, I was living in a gosiwon and was in a mentally sensitive state while preparing for the civil service examination. At that time, I frequently had arguments with the plaintiff, who did management work in the same building; at first it was just remarks about sorting the recycling properly, but it gradually developed into insulting language and the conflict intensified. In the end, I ended up committing assault, and the plaintiff, claiming to have suffered an injury requiring three weeks of treatment, filed a criminal complaint, but the case was concluded through an agreement not to prosecute. However, only now, two years later, the plaintiff has filed a civil claim for damages. How should I respond?

Is there a way to revoke a school violence disciplinary action?
My child, who is in the second year of middle school, received an order of community service as a school violence disciplinary action. According to my child, out of fear that things would go badly with their friends, they merely stayed in the same group chat room while the friends committed school violence, and they feel there is much that is unfair about receiving the disciplinary action. Also, we wanted to attend the School Violence Countermeasures Deliberation Committee and give a statement, but the Committee did not even accept our statement, saying it was simplifying the procedure. How can we respond?

How do I file a marriage annulment lawsuit?
My girlfriend at the time became pregnant, so we hurriedly registered our marriage. However, at the hospital where my wife gave birth, they said that the child's blood type was one that could not result from my wife and me.. Wondering whether it was a mutation, I even visited a university hospital for testing, but since that was not the case, I had a DNA test done, and it was revealed that the child is not my biological child. Even so, my wife denies having committed any affair.. I would like to file a marriage annulment lawsuit. How can I do so?

I want to file a complaint for sexual molestation, but I am worried that the perpetrator will retaliate.
I was sexually molested by a senior at school. At first I intended to just let it go, but because he repeatedly touched me surreptitiously and kept making unpleasant remarks, I decided I had to file a complaint for sexual molestation. However, since the perpetrator is a fairly influential person at school, I am very anxious that after the complaint he might come near my house to retaliate. If I file a complaint for sexual molestation, will the police provide personal protection? Also, is there a way to separately receive security or protection?

In the case of a third drunk driving offense, is detention likely?
I have already been caught drunk driving twice. But even knowing I should not, I drank and drove again. I was not caught, but I read somewhere that a third drunk driving offense carries a high likelihood of detention and could even lead to an actual custodial sentence. If I am actually caught, is detention really likely? If I am detained, are there disadvantages or the like?

I am under investigation for a violation of the Fair Trade Act. What should I do?
We are a small and medium-sized distribution company, and we are under investigation by the Fair Trade Commission on suspicion of a violation of the Fair Trade Act on the ground that we supplied goods at a lowered price during the contract process with a client. We merely accommodated the client's request, yet we are being suspected of an unfair trade practice, which is bewildering. We have currently received an official letter requesting cooperation with the investigation, and we are worried about how the procedure will proceed and whether it could even lead to criminal punishment.

What is the procedure for an appeal to the Tax Tribunal?
After receiving a taxation disposition from the tax office, I was looking into various things and found that there is an appeal to the Tax Tribunal. However, there was only a statement of what it is, and the procedure was not explained in detail. Through what specific procedure does an appeal to the Tax Tribunal proceed? Since it is my first time, I am worried the procedure may be complicated, so if there is someone well versed in the relevant law, please explain in detail.
