Are there any points to be careful about when drafting an assault settlement agreement?
During a drinking-party dispute, a scuffle broke out, and in the end the other person filed a complaint against me with the police for assault. Fortunately, I was able to reach the victim and we agreed to draft an assault settlement agreement, but since it is my first time, I do not know how to write it. Please tell me the content that must be included in an assault settlement agreement and the points to be careful about.

What are the cases in which a corporate merger is restricted?
As I run a company, I am reviewing a corporate merger for future restructuring or business expansion. However, I heard that a corporate merger is not possible without problems in all cases and that, depending on the situation, it may be restricted or require a separate procedure. Could I find out in what cases a merger is restricted?

Can the punishment for an indecent act by compulsion be reduced through a settlement for an indecent act by compulsion?
Recently I was placed under investigation on a charge of indecent act by compulsion, and I am very worried about how severe the criminal punishment will be. I was told to try to reach a settlement with the victim, and I wonder whether the punishment for an indecent act by compulsion can actually change depending on whether a settlement is reached. I would like to know whether reaching a settlement for an indecent act by compulsion always results in leniency, or whether it is only partly reflected in the sentence.

I am not sure whether it is a violation of the Fair Trade Act… A business partner is being pressured to cut off dealings with us
We are a small and medium-sized enterprise, and there is a competitor in the same industry. I heard that they pressured our main business partner to cut off dealings, saying something like "if you keep doing business with them, we will reduce our volume." Our business partner is also anxious...;; In a case like this, could it constitute a violation of the Fair Trade Act?

How severe is the punishment for tax evasion? I would also like to know whether there are cases in which it can be mitigated.
During a recent tax investigation, I was told that some of my past filings could be treated as tax evasion. I did not intentionally try to conceal taxes; the delay in payment was largely because my finances were poor, yet I am worried that this could even lead to criminal punishment. I heard that if the evaded amount exceeds a certain threshold, the punishment is greatly aggravated, so I would like to know what the criteria for punishment of tax evasion are and what circumstances may allow for leniency or mitigation.

What elements must be proven when claiming tort damages?
Having suffered financial and emotional harm as a result of the other party's conduct, I am considering a claim for tort damages. I clearly feel that the situation is unfair, but I am curious whether a lawsuit is possible based solely on the assertion that I suffered harm. I would like to know what facts I must prove in order to claim tort damages and to what level I should prepare evidence.

Immigration law attorney, I would like to know the conditions for applying for an H-1B specialty occupation work visa and the documents required.
Hello. Immigration law attorney, I am an office worker in my thirties who is preparing for an H-1B specialty occupation work visa. I have a professional job offer and want to confirm the application requirements. I would like to know whether a bachelor's degree in a related major is absolutely required, and whether, if I do not have a degree, it can be replaced by practical work experience. I would also like to know in detail the scope of the documents an individual must prepare under immigration law, such as a passport, degree certificate, and proof of career.

First-time drug use: is an actual custodial sentence possible even without a drug consultation?
At an acquaintance's urging, I used drugs once out of curiosity and ended up under police investigation. I am currently wondering whether I need a drug consultation, and I am worried because I heard that an actual custodial sentence is possible even though it is a first offense and not habitual. I am sincerely remorseful and believe this will never happen again, but can an actual custodial sentence still come out? I would like to know to what extent punishment is actually imposed.
